Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

How are matters numbered?
The matter number is entered when the matter is opened, and Lexeya shows the latest numbers for each matter type, so you avoid duplicate numbers and keep the firm's existing numbering system.
Can we track where the paper file is?
Yes. The file tracker records where the paper case file currently is and the history of its movements, and the location is also visible in the matter itself.
Who can see which matter?
Access is set according to each user's role. The firm can decide that certain users see only the matters they are assigned to, while managers see the whole firm.
What happens to closed matters?
Closed matters stay in the system with their full history and can be viewed and searched. The matter status changes; the data is not deleted.
